Gaming group: Common Meeple

About us: We are a group of 7 friends who all work in the I.T industry with a shared passion for board games. We were all excited to hear that a board game cafe had opened up locally and quickly jumped at the first opportunity when we could all go down and check it out. Little did we know at the time that 10 months later we would become cafe regulars, attending every week and becoming more passionate about board games.

We decided to log what games we have played at the cafe, including ones that we had brought in with us, to keep somewhat of a database of how good we collectively thought games were along with player counts and play time. Hopefully this spreadsheet can be used as a guide to help others select games to play based on their player count and the time that they have.

As a group we have had some absolutely amazing experiences at the cafe, gaming drama, last minute wins, last minute losses, real gotcha moments that have had us simultaneously “ooh”. However the real wins that we have had are the board gaming memories we have made as friends and what nicer people to facilitate that than Jon, Jenny and their amazing staff every week.
